After The Poetry Slam Competition is over and the Awards Ceremony is celebrated, we have music and dancing and the occasional Pillow Fight!
Here is a music spot I did after the Stone Cup Poetry Slam on January 14th 2010
How can we make the C.P.S.L. better?
- Better Prizes?
- More Music?
- Cooler Art and Decorations?
- Different Rules?
I am trying very hard to keep the Chattanooga Poetry Slam Competitions FREE!
I don’t think people should have to pay to watch their favorite Poet friends
win a bunch of money doing what they love,
and well,
not a whole lot of other people do either! So let’s raise some money
and keep the

Chattanooga Poetry Slam League 2011
Chattanooga Poetry Slam League
2011 Season:
Here is how the season is going to work my poetic and wonderful friends…
Each season there will be chosen a Slam King or Queen from the ranks of Chattanooga Poets. The Poet who wins the most Slams or scores the most collective points overall, will be declared King or Queen of the Chatty Slam League and will win $200!
$200!!!
How does the scoring work?
Each Final Slam will be scored 1-50 by a combination of 5 judges’ scores scoring that poet 1-10 based on their opinions. Like the Olympics.
Each Qualifier win is worth 10 points.
That is a possible high score of 60 points per month.
Each Season will by split into three months, spring, fall, winter, summer. Which allows a high score of 180 per season.
The Poet with the highest score at the end of each season will be declared RULER OF THE SLAM and receive a $200 cash prize!
The winner of each Final Slam will win $100 Grand Prize - $35 2nd Prize - $15 3rd Prize
Hard times call for easy food.
